Mechanical screening, usually called screening, uses screening machines to take granulated ores and materials to compress and/or convert the granulated particles into multiple different grades. This process is usually practiced in the mining, agricultural, and recycling industry.

The vibration mode can be modified and is different on each type of screening machine.
